The Organic Centre is a charity & social enterprise in Co Leitrim that works hard to increase knowledge, and awareness about organic growing, biodiversity, climate change, food sovereignty and sustainable energy.
All seeds are certified organic by the Irish Organic Trust.
Sugar Grape Tomato: The ‘Zuckertraube’ cherry tomato is extremely vigorous. The fruits weigh around 15-25 grams and are slightly larger than other cherry tomatoes. The quite large vines produce sweet, tasty fruits. An almost perfect replacement for Sungold.
Green Hokaido Squash: A favourite squash thanks to its dry and nutty flavour. Orange yellow flesh. Stores well. (10 seeds)
Giant Winter Spinach: classic winter-cultivation variety of spinach. It produces rather large, dark-green leaves and it is extremely well protected against cold. Note that this variety will bolt early in summers. (500 seeds)
Giant Italian Parsley: Biennial. Strong growing large flat leaved Parsley.
Radish French Breakfast: Tasty cylindrical radish, red with white tips.
Uchiki Kuri Squash: A small, orange coloured variety. Fruit 1.5 kg-2kg with fine nutty flavour. Stores well. (10 seeds)
Mixture of Carrots: This colourful mix consists of 4 varieties, diverse in colour, shape and flavour. Do not sow too late as these are rather slow growing varieties.
Wild Rocket: Smaller serrated leaves than salad rocket, with a far more intense flavour. (500 seeds)
Sunset Selection Chard: stunning yellow-orange stems and green leaves. This chard will also grow well in autumn and winter in a frost-free greenhouse.
Please order only one of each variety, as there is unprecedented demand this year for Irish-grown seeds and we want to share them as widely as possible.
