Grown and prepared by Siobhan of No Harm Farm in Co Clare, these black garlic bulbs are the cupboard staple you did not know you needed. Black garlic is made by a controlled aging process that allows the Maillard reaction to take place, making it sweet, soft and giving it other great properties:
How to use: So sweet and soft you can eat it straight from the packet, this incredible squidgy black garlic is full of plummy, tamarind rich notes and is chewy and soft in texture. Smudge it over bruschetta, blitz it into mayo or make a garlic bread to remember! It also compliments curries of all descriptions, is incredible in ramen and brings a tomato and basil soup to a new level. It is vegan-friendly.
Umami and sweet at the same time, this is flavour heaven. If you haven’t tried it yet, you’re in for a treat!
This is sold by 100g, so we will include at least two garlic bulbs/ heads in a brown paper bag.
Although not certified organic, the black garlic is grown on Siobhan’s microfarm with her no harm principles: no digging, tilling or plowing; no pesticides, herbicides or artificial fertilisers; actively supporting biodiversity, and more.
