This organic wholemeal spelt flour is grown and milled in Co Kilkenny by Oak Forest Mills. Their aim is to continue the Irish tradition of growing high quality milling grains and producing flour that matches and exceeds the quality of any comparable imported flour.
Produced by Oak Forest Mills from start to finish, the flour is a strong stoneground flour that works well in sourdough and yeast breads and can be used also in pizza dough, pastry, banana breads, etc.
Please note that because the flour is freshly ground in a traditional manner rather than ground, stabilised and preserved as in commerical milling, it has a shorter best before date than most imported and branded organic flours. This flour is unbleached, unblended and without any additives whatsoever.
Ingredients: spelt flour* (contains GLUTEN). Allergens in bold. Note: Spelt flour is not gluten-free. However, both spelt has a type of gluten that are far easier to digest than modern wheat gluten.

Storage instructions: Please store in a clean, dry container out of direct sunlight and for best results use by the best before date on the label.
