This Turkey Tail Tea is micro-milled from mushrooms grown and dried by Mark and Lucy of Ballyhoura Mountain Mushrooms in Co Limerick.
The Turkey Tail Tea has been produced by micro-milling the Turkey Tail mushroom fruitbody to produce a uniform highly dispersible powder, allowing for complete extraction of flavour and nutritive components by hot water extraction. Each packet of Turkey Tail Tea contains 10 individual 5gram teabags of micromillled Turkey Tail.
Turkey Tail has been consumed for millennia in Asia amongst practitioners of traditional Chinese Medicine who have highly valued it for its immunomodulatory benefits. Modern science has identified Turkey Tail as containing desired mycochemicals such as beta glucans with one known as PSK used as an adjunct to chemotherapy based cancer treatment in Japan.
The jar contains 10 x individual 5g teabags (plastic free).
Use one tea bag per mug (approximately 275ml), add boiled water and brew for 5-10 minutes.
